The Mechanisms Of Fat Loss

Gold Coast Health, Fitness & Personal Training Post - Tuesday, March 08, 2011

One of the most important group of concepts to understand for both personal trainers and trainees trying to lose body fat is how the body actually loses body fat from exercise.  This is because it is not just a case of calories in/calories out and training longer.  Which is what most people trying to lose body fat have learned by now.  When the body wants to get rid of excess fat stores, there are basically three hormonal and metabolic mechanisms that really stand out: 1) improving insulin sensitivity, 2) increasing Growth Hormone (GH) output and 3) increasing metabolic rate by disrupting homeostasis.  Now do not worry it is not as complicated as it seems - just watch the video below and you’ll see what I mean…

Now each of these factors respond better to certain types and methods of training than to others.  So what you want to do is to make sure you are doing your best to highlight these three mechanisms of fat loss when you train.  So what I have done for you in this video below is outline how you can maximize these three factors with your training.  So watch the video now and go out and get training!

Hopefully that will give the all the fitness enthusiasts (and also the personal trainers in the gyms) out there a great place to start when it comes to choosing which methods you should use to drop body fat.  As always tell me what you think by leaving a comment below!
