Most of you know I have just got back from Las Vegas where I attended the Fitness Info Blueprint LIVE It was hosted by Bedros Keulian and Craig Ballantyne who are some really big players over there in Northern America. Now on the way back I had the pleasure of being stuck in LAX for two nights due to a flight "complications". Believe me it is not that exciting. Anyway my lost post I talked about the importance of only "concerning yourself with the controllables". This post I will share with you guys what I did with my training while I was stuck in LAX. I've just been in Las Vegas where I had the Fitness Info Blueprint
Live with fitness industry heavyweights Craig Ballantyne and Bedros
Keulian. Vegas was a blast (I saw Terry Fator who was insane!) and it
was a great conference. I'll probably be heading back over for a
few more of these sorts of things in the near future. Anyway now
I am kinda stuck in transit sitting here in LAX International Airport
waiting to see if I get on a plane back to Australia. The waiting
sucks but there is nothing I can do about it. So why worry about
it right? Which brings me to the whole point of this post. Read This Article

Back in 2007 for optimal health, I had a Food IgG Allergy test conducted among a whole panel of tests. Now food allergies can basically come in two types: an IgE or IgG antibody reaction. IgE reactions are what your conventional doctor will measure with a skin prick test. IgG reactions, on the other hand, are much more subtle and can cause all sorts of symptoms ranging from weight gain, fatigue, bloating, aches and pains. Read This Article

For those of you who do not know, Active Release Techniques (or ART for short) is one of the most cutting edge treatment methods available for any type of injury. ART originated in the United States and it is so prominent now it is super unlikely you will find an Northern American professional sporting franchise (think NFL, NHL, NBA & MLB) who do not have an ART practitioner on the full time staff. It is also becoming more popular in Australia with both the Queensland Reds & Brisbane Broncos also having an 'ART guy' since 2009. Anyway when I completed my ART qualifications back at the start of 2009, I decided to sit down with the guy who started it all and ask him all about what makes it so special. So this is an interview with Michael Leahy DC CSSP, creator of Active Release Techniques. Read This Article

This is probably the biggest and most controversial myth in the health and fitness industry. So let us kick this myth square in teeth right now. Read This Article

Hate it or love it, the Bench Press is hands down the most popular exercise you will EVER see in the gym. It is also the most common measure of strength amongst the general public and elite athletes. For instance, how often have you heard the old ‘well how much can you bench?’ question. To go with this popularity, bench press strength is the only significant difference between professional rugby league players and those still running around in park footy. This means if you want to do well in the professional rugby codes, chances are you had better work on your press. Read This Article

One of the main problems people approach me about is the amount of information out there about health and fitness and that they simply do not know what to do with it all. This all to often leads to ‘paralysis by analysis’. With all this information we do not know where to turn and we do and achieve nothing. So to make it a lot simpler I have decided to give everyone an easy 10 point ‘To Do ‘ & ‘To Not Do’ list for training and nutrition.... Read This Article

It is almost the end of the January in the new year. Right about now is when all those great life changing resolutions made on the 1st of January usually come screeching to halt and we return to those negative habits of ours we tried to eliminate. Now if you think you are the only one that cannot stick to your resolution, do not worry – you are definitely not alone. I am not ashamed to admit but more than my fair share of resolutions have met an early demise. In fact one of the reasons that I managed to sit through university psychology lectures all those years ago is because of failed resolutions & goals. So this month I have decided to share what I have learned from formal education, my work changing clients’ lifestyles and of course my own personal experience. Read This Article
